Closing in!

Posted: August 19, 2010 in Uncategorized

Work has continued quickly and steadily as we are nearing the end of Phase I renovations!  Crews finished the tape and bed process last week and began texturing.  The last texture was applied early this week and painting began Tuesday and continues through today.  The workers have begun hanging ceiling grids and will likely have that done by the middle of next week.   The new carpet for the Worship & Arts area has been ordered and should be here soon.  Crews are expected to be finished with construction within the next two weeks.  Once the final inspections are complete and occupancy certificate issued, the Worship & Arts staff will be able to move into their new office space.

This Sunday, be sure to check out the newly widened hallway just outside the Worship Center.  With large crowds anticipated for kick-off Sunday, crews are to pull back the plastic sheeting that has been in place since renovation began in order to allow more room for traffic to move through that area in between the new 9:00 and 10:30 AM services. The picture below should give you an idea of how wide the hallway will be.

The hallway will be as wide as the glass doors of the hospitality room.
